The value of your car depends on many factors buddy.
Mileage,
Condition,
Spec,
Service history,
HPI details,
Etc.
Remember it's a bug, so don't get your hopes up too high.....LOL
You looking at diesel 330 or petrol ? Pal of mine just sold a nearly new 335D Msport. Nice car if you like that sort of thing, pretty fast too. Bit boring for my taste though.

Insurance has gone stupid! Im 41 and have been driving as a named driver on my Mrs policy for the last 2 years which was the last time i insured a Subaru.

I bought her a Version 2 STI wagon a month a go because she wanted her own scooby, i insured it in my name....ive never had a claim in 24 years of driving and have owned 4 imprezas prior to the wagon....The cheapest quote i got was £1500! This was for an Impreza which was worth less than the policy price.

Ive just insured a 2005 Audi 1.8T S-line for £400............How does that work..

It does sound ridiculous. It could be due to you not being the main policy holder and only a named driver. I assume the high quote you got was with you changing this and now becoming the main policy holder? Unfortunately you only build up the no claims when you are the main policy holder so they may be viewing you as a driver with very little no claims bonus as you haven't built any up. Also if you stop being a main policy holder such as you may have done a couple of years ago, your no claims bonus could have reset back to zero as you were no longer a main policy holder on any vehicle (but only your INS co would be able to confirm this). Harsh I know. They are buggers. If your no claims bonus did reset to zero it may be worth speaking to someone in your insurance company explaining the situation.

My insurance went up £250 this year and that was on top of a £70 rise last year. Never had a claim, never had any points so whats the reason. The under writer was RBS and I suppose they have to con us all abit more.

Yeah some ins companies do seem to be increasing premiums when others aren't and are instead keeping the premiums the same. Best to shop around. Mine stayed same the last three years (before which it was always going down), although I got them down by £20 each time when I haggled on phone with them. My last car was a 350z. So it appears some are "conning" us (such as RBS/Natwest) into paying more and others aren't. Admiral who Im with (not sure who their underwriter is) have never "hiked" mine up in last few years. If they did I'd go elsewhere.

330 was a bit boring to be honest, had a 330ci msport convertible after the first Impreza, had it for 18 months, lost loads and bought another Impreza. Ok for a day to day car but there is plenty out there better. Have a habit of using oil as well
