glanza no boost
hi guys,a mate has bought a glanza v turbo,on way home from buying it it was fine, boosting well and all was ok. next morning warmed it up to show his brother and drove down the road, went to give it some and it wouldnt boost and their is a loud screeching noise.we checked all the hoses etc and they seem all ok. their is no boost atall and like i say when you drive it and think it should kick in you get this noise.
were thinking mayb the actuator/wastegate is stuck open?
weird as on way home it was fine then next morning it was like this!

I'm just thankful my glans can still produce plenty of boost.
Check for obvious stuff like hoses downstream of the compressor, and joints of intercooler/throttle body etc aren't loose/disconnected. Otherwise, yes could be wastegate stuck open or a shagged turbo. Also check to see if the intake hose has decided to start sucking itself shut (unlikely, if it didn't do it before).

...Plus, disconnect the turbo-IC hose and check for pools of oil (there should normally just be a thin oil film, nothing much).
Also, try to move the impeller/turbine shaft by grabbing the end nut's 'nose' and pushing/pulling back and forth. There should be NO perceivable movement whatsoever.
