I have been offered a 2000my one of these for a song , covered 98k with history. It is the sport model and a manual. Usual leccy stuff and leather seats.
what are they like to own/run and are they ok on fuel? looking for around 40mpg combined any known faults or issues

Manual unloved so make sure it is cheaper than a auto, should be.
Sport has harder suspension, check the springs are all ok.
Check for rust especially on front wings and boot lid. Might have had it done under warrenty at 7 years old so could be in decent nick.
Should just make 40mpg on a run.
