Fun little car. Traction is a bitch and near impossible to get

You realise how handy awd is in this weather.

You plan to swap a Civic Type R for a Clio 172/182? Are you completely mad? No offence to the OP, but the build quality and reliability on the Clios really isn't very good and they have basically the same performance

None taken mate...

The Clio was a last resort to me, but in all fairness it aint a bad car. Granted its no STI or even in the same league. I am still pleasantly surprised by it.

I would choose the Type R all day long over the Clio, you cant beat a good VTEC.

agree with all of that. We had a 172 for 4 years and though it was a good fun car, the bits breaking and falling off became too much in the end.

We've had a DC5 (basically the same as the Civic) for 3 years now and its needed a battery and some brake pads.

Mate don't worry about it. Ibe only ever owned Imprezas or Peugeots for some reason so I'm a glutton for punishment not had my last Scoob now for 2 1/2 years and in that time I've had a 205 GTi and most recently a 1.1 106 runaround. I actually like little French cars as I'm used to working on them now!! Especially the chuckability of them as they weigh so little. No more unreliable than any Scoob I owned but guess what I wanna be in next year

Also my mums family are from Hartlepool too. Spent many a happy day at Seaton in the arcades or the annual carnival.

The yearly carnival now consist of a million kazzuu's and lots of drums. They dont have many floats now. Not quite sure why they call it a carnival. Should be kids with noisey instruments parade.

Some of the arcades have been refurbished so not that bad now. Still get the "hoodies" hanging out there. Seaton could do with a lick of paint to brighten the place up a little.

When was you last in the area? Years ago?

Yeah not been up for at least 5-6 years as over time her family have all moved down to Scunthorpe so not much need to go back up. Have some good nostalgic memories of the place though
