Default Any more informed thinking ?

Turned right , up , into retail park earlier and the car ( mondeo) bottomed out , i presume - because there was nothing to hit as far as i could see

Anyway parked up and went into b&q came out and horrendous clank on right semi lock ( but not quite regularly ) , go underneath and nothing visibly wrong at all as far as i can see ,

Im guessing its go to be steering although i dont know how , or suspension

I'd look for a broken spring. Had a similar noise on turning the wheel when the front springs on my Volvo broke. Both sides broke within 2 months of each other.

Is the right wheel really close to the arch, now? I had a front suspension strut collapse on the scoob a couple of years ago, but it was the plate above the spring that the spring pushes against that had collapsed, rather than the spring breaking.

worth jacking it up and getting the wheel off, just work down from the top, spring seats, sping, wishbones, bottom arms, track rod. anything like that could be bent or a damaged bolt causing the noise.

Yep broken spring , and very possibly screwed top mount ,

Couldnt have been anything else looking at it from under

getting both sides redone , slightly unfortunate timing

Seems quite common with fords according to my local Ford dealer..
My daughter had a similar problem with her Fiesta.
