The VTR badge used to mean something in the early days of the Saxo, now they are sticking it on 1.4litre Picasso's! very dissapointing.
Looking at your list the only one which may have a half decent engine is the 2.0 HDI Picasso.
The Cmmax would be a much nicer car, as would the Touran but not with that engine

The Citroen will be worth nothing in 3 years time.
As mentioned, Focus S-Max and Galaxy are a good choice.
The 1.6 Touran will be underpowered but the Zafira should also be a safe bet.

We used to have a Zafira but the other day I saw a friends S-Max and it looks a lot nicer and much much more spacious. No idea what they are like to own though. A quick look on Autotrader looks like they are in the same price range.

If you have kids then buy a cheap citroen........don't worry about vomit, Mcdonalds chips, mud, sand etc. drive it into the ground and expect it to be worthless

How many kids and how old? I have 3 and can just about fit 3 high back booster seats in the back of our '04 Ford CMax 2.0 TDCI. Definitely worth considering too, lots of grunt and has a great ride comfort and handling and has a massive boot.

C3 Picassio; ok if you buy it cheap. Dashboards and electronics go on the fritz and general build part and parcel of them being a cheap SUV. And the gear change on most is horrible because many have been used by women who can't fully depress the clutch and forcing them into gear, knackering the gearshift linkage and making the gearlever sloppier than a bucket of spew.
Current shape Zaf I quite liked, handled better and nicer inside than both the c3 and Touran IMO.
Personally regardless of brand though I'd want one with a bigish output diesel (110bhp minimum). The petrol engines in all the above will be gutless and annoying because they are all such heavy cars IMO.
