Twin Engined 'Not so Slover' Rover.
Looks like this guy has got it running nicely too from the Vid!
Twin Engine Rover 216 (4x4) <-- Clicky
Would be something to be seen if it was finished and made to look smart.

Q:* Hi, Would the car be suitable for towing a 700kg caravan throught the swiss alps? Also would you have any videos of the car driving? What are your thoughts on the 0-60mph time? 5-6 seconds? 24-Nov-10
A:* I would'nt tow a caravan with it for the same reason I wouldn't use a Ferari to tow a caravan. 0-60 time will between 4 and 5 seconds. It has almost twice the power to weight ratio and twice the traction of the original car.

Twin Engined Sirocco!
Back in the early 80's VW built a twin engined Scirocco and got it to work. Cannot find any vids on youtube which is a shame
Found this: http://www.driversfound.com/scirocco/history/bimotor/
At the time i was 16/17 and working for a photographer based in Woburn Sands who was doing marketing work for the VW and Audi's head office in MK. I remember doing a shoot at a stately home with one of the Scirocco's and the first two Audi Quattro's imported into the UK/country - happy days

Back in the 90's there was a twin VR6 engined Golf.......
.....in Max power
(think it was light blue IIRC )
Joking aside, at one point we did have a surplus of scrapped Metros that had failed the MOT due to tin-worm (well, Rover 100's to be exact). We were tempted to put them together and make an AWD twin-engine Metro. It should be faily straight foward to codge the front subframe+engine into the rear of one of the better (and strengthened) bodyshells. Just like a MG-F ( ). The plan was scuppered when we found all three of them only had the 1.1 8valve k-series lumps....even with two of these engines it still wouldn't be as powerful (or as fast) as a sorted 1.8VVT. If they had the 16valve 1.4 lumps, the plan may have been a go-er for a track weapon.
Instead we loaded them with scrap metal, filled the tanks and engines up with water and dragged them to the scrap dealers...had £100 each.

A couple of years ago a guy built a twin engined Pug 306. He did a fantastic job of it and I managed to get a passenger ride in it and can admit that it was f****** quick!!!!!
It was about 520 brake and four wheel drive!!
