Type R - End of an Era ??
In the Honda e-Newsletter it had a bit about the last Civic Type R to roll off the Swindon plant production line and with the heading "Type R - End of an era".
Anyone know if they are hinting at dropping Type R for something different? next Civic ? No more hot models? aligning more for the Blue rinse brigade perhaps?

Apparently they're stopping production of the current Type R as its engine doesn't meet new emissions regs they are offering heavy discounts on the current model now

Sad I really liked and enjoyed the breadvan Civic type R that I used to own, but I think the curerent one is not good.
Hopefully Honda has something good / interesting in the pipe line to replace the engine with, but given the economical climate and trend toward electric / hybrid something clever yet different.

Had a beautiful malachite seagreen Prelude Vtec 2.2 at one point and planned to get a black or met grey CTR Mk1. Bought the scoob instead. Think I would have loved either and wouldn't have spent all that money modding!

They could just start calling them Mugen RR or maybe a Honda Cosworth as this example, why do they just remain JDM
