Default Been out playing

I know there's a few people on here with an appreciation for Skylines. I've recently had the car back from having an engine refresh, new turbos and cams (I'd previously fitted all other supporting mods over the previous 12 months).

So here's a vid of a quick test run after checking the base map and setting the boost controller to 1.3 bar. There's more power to come, final boost target is 1.5 bar, the cams need timing in and the map needs optimising. It still managed 0-100 in about 10/11 secs though with a very gentle launch

Sounds great.

I've written one of these off, still yet to own one yet though.

The one which has his approved, internet nonsense "feel right" percentage added to it?

Basically every car he has driven bar some skanky old hire car

Sticking a video of yourself driving like a muppet chav on public roads - nice one retard.

How's the Rover Micky? I actually rate them quite highly in ZS180 form despite you having one. You're similar to NR aren't you? Bit of a stalker, bit odd, bit geeky.

Driving like a muppet? Where? What speed am I doing in the video, genius?

Yet again Mattee, you prove just what an inadequate mess of a human being you truly are.

I'm sure the Police would have no problem working it out.

Your road positioning is cack.

Carry on blowing your top though - you say you "stalk" me because you find it "hilarious" - utter BS. You just hate the idea that someone sees through your web of BS.

There's a guy in our village with a chavved R33 - tiny bloke with a tash that is the embodiment of "geek chavness" - I imagine you are just the same?

Oh and your Mito is better than an MR2 is it?

Tsk tsk...

I haven't blown my top at all Mattee, you're projecting your feelings on to me.

I'm sure the police could work out my speed which was entirely legal.

As for your "chavved up" comment, my car is externally standard, it even has it's standard 17" wheels on at the moment, so you're sadly wrong again.

And yes, for my uses, the Mito is better than an MR2, I need a practical daily driver and a mid-engined 2 seater convertible doesn't provide that.

I'm very interested in your opinion of my driving. Where exactly do you feel my road positioning can be improved? Should I be more to the left or the right? How far? Why?

Managed 0-100 in about 10/11 seconds? Is 100 suddenly legal?

I would have got a Swift/Fiesta or one of many other nicer small cars over a Mito.

Did I do 0 - 100 in that video? Did I anywhere state that I did?

As I said elsewhere, I chose the Mito because I liked it. The Swift is slower and doesn't suit the motorway miles I do on my commute, the Fiesta is also slower and when specced to the same levels is pricier and the interior not as nice. Other people will make choices based on their needs and priorities, as did I.

The difference between you and me, Matt, is that I don't need to constantly compare myself to others to seek validation for my choices. I'm happy in my own skin and have the courage of my own convictions. I don't have to put others down to feel like a man. I'm not the kind of person who finds it neccesary to apply percentage points to how right one car feels to another, I can enjoy something for what it is, not what others think of it.

You have a great lifestyle, a lovely family and a job you enjoy. I genuinely don't understand why you act the way you do.

Unless you mean 100km/h in about 10/11 secs which I imagine is a wee bit slow for a tuned R33?

Anyway if you post links mocking my threads on Evo, I WILL bite. If you manage to resist then I'm happy to just let it go. And 36 people replied, almost all with interesting input so the thread can't have been all that daft can it?

Nowhere does it say I did 0 - 100 in the video.

The thread, in general, wouldn't have been daft without the percentage points. It was the MR2 scoring 92% that tipped me over the edge. It was just a tad precise for a completely arbritrary scoring system.

think this thread has lost its way a bit fellas! ive never seen the outside of your car rev but certainly looks to have nice power! everybody who owns a modded performance motor puts the right foot down and breaks the speed limit at some point especially when wanting to see the results of recent mods otherwise whats the point? not condoning 100mph on public roads or anything. also people are entitled to say what they want how they want like when rating cars! live and let live eh lads not worth falling out over.

NR - it is annoying (double post thing).

Anyway 100 in 10/11 secs is very quick. Well done.

It seams to be going well

Removed the 18" wheels and went back to the standard 17" jobbies
Apart from that, it has done me proud for the past 14 months i have driven it, never broke down, reasonable mpg (i average 26/27/28mpg around the doors) never caused me any hassle, bar an annoying trim squeak from behind the drivers side door pillar somewhere, that only bloody happens when i am going around a right hand bend (so my head is closer to it )

I dont know Mr Rev so i have no idea if i am anything like him, although if he has a bit of wit about him, and can moonwalk when pissed, we are probably alike

Well NotRev,

I'm disgusted, that road was jam packed with primary school kids and traffic and you clear managed to accelerate in several gears....

Or did I see a solitary cyclist or a car somewhere ?

Compared to the " I did 120 mph tho' Manc. at lunchtime" threads, that was a bit tame...

Sounded nice too !

LOL
