Mazda mps
Took one of these out as a possible replacement for the Impreza .... scary or what?
So used to the AWD that the inability to go round bends scared me!
However, that said, it's raw and quite good fun!
Anyone owned one?

Was always under the impression that these where awd, but found out that front wheel drive instead.
Still a perfect car to do a bank job in - so anonymous just would not notice it

Only this Mazda is in Group K Road Tax ... £235? £200 each and every year cheaper than an Impreza ....

Pete,
The 6 is AWD with the 3 being front drive only. I had a 6 MPS and sold it end of last year, as a 150 mile commute and a thirst for super unleaded was a little unhealthy. I found it a good car in many respects, discreet, comfy, quick, reliable and practical... a rare combination, but it didn't excel at anything and was a ultimately a little bland to drive. It's a great tool but you'll never lust after it.
As I stated in my ad, it's what Impreza owners get when they grow up (Which I appear to have done before you )

Hi Dunk
Yes, I see your point.
That's what I am terrified of - buying a bland car and why I'm struggling to change!
I had a Calibra 20 years ago and loved every minute of it - bland it wasn't. Bought a Primera GT after that and it was great for a month then I realised I was being bored witless (it was great at everything, but boring as hell!!), then came the Impreza .... doesn't look much, but boy - does it put a smile on your face every single time you drive it?!
I yearn for mine, new ....... but it doesn't exist
