Has anyone seen the outline specs on the new RS6 !!
444Bhp or close and 419ft lbs of tourque from 1950rpm to 5600rpm, complete with a new suspension system desgined to eliminate body roll entirely with 4WD also. More to the point Audi are trying to make the car feel as close to a perfect drivers car as possible, and it will be availible in saloon versions previous versions in estate only !!
This car should be really special other then whats on the evo.co.uk siute does anybody know anything more ?
Cheers,
Phill

Quite my point, sounds fekking fast ! I should think 0-100 would be more interesting though, alongisde all the usual A6 toys should make it a truely great car !!
Alot will depend on how it drives, time will tell,

A friend of mine bought a low mileage Audi RS2. These were only built for a short period (1995ish) and Porsche had heavy involvement in engine/running gear.
2.2L engine, 4x4, KKK turbo producing 315BHP, 0-60 4.8sec, 162mph, Porsche Brakes, wheels, wing mirrors etc. Absolute brute of an estate (sorry, Avant). I believe only about 100 were built.

I find it very very hard to believe that Audi know how to make a true drivers car- in the vain of the old UrQ, the BMW M3mk1, Porsche 911/968 etc. Audi simply no longer care even a slight bit about steering feel or communicative handling characteristics. Don't anyone even waste there brainpower with such wishful dreams. Its all about grip period.

Well the RS2 was a bit difficult down the twisties, that is for sure, although I'm told it is improved on the RS4.
But on the motorways, sweeping A-roads, the RS2, with its heaps of torque in any gear, would still be my weapon of choice..... well, after an RS4

Just returned from Germany yesterday, whilst there spoke with a local Audi dealer who provided my with spec details on Acrobat.
If anyone is interest let me know.
Availabilty is likely to be late summer and the price is likely to be more than the £48k quoted, dependant on goodies added.
It will be a seriously quick car unrestricted about 190mph, but you are looking at circa £55/60k
Cheers

I'm one of 287 (approx) Uk confirmed orders... £57,500.. but it does come fully specced with 19" alloys, Sat Nav/TV, leather, all the toys and all the usual (Xenons etc etc)!!
I was in France last weekend (courtesy of Audi) and one of the top guys said that they are struggling to keep them down to 450bhp!!.. the lowest bhp off the production line so far is 457!!
Mine is due in September.. should be a craker.. certainly with quattro.. I boot my S6 off the line (340bhp) and you cannot get the tyres to sweak.. they really have that side of things sorted.. this new adaptive suspension sounds interesting..
we'll see

Anyone here logged onto RS4.ORG?
Some will have.
The problem with the soft material excusing itself for an alloy wheel should readily become apparent.
I have an axe to grind here, and so would you after having spent close to 50k for a car which is hardly fit for purpose.
Until Audi offer a presentable alternative, the RS6, which is being sold on entirely similar rims, can swing!
