Not sure about what to look for apart from the obvious things when buying any vehicle. Just thought id say i have an 02 ls dti and it has been 100% reliable, never missed a beat. Mine goes well as it is, the 2lt in the sportive must go like a rocket!

Yep, i have a 2000 plate sportive di 16v which when it does go is very well and refined but beware of the high pressure fuel pump which sits on the front of the engine, if this fails your looking at £1000 for a new pump and fitting, timing when re fitting has to be done with locking pins so not a diy job. Apparantly vauxhall have solved failing pumps from 2004 onwards but im sorry but i would steer well clear of any vauxhall van with the 1.7 izuzu and 2.0 chain driven engines or buy a 55 plate model. I have spent £2500 on my van replacing fuel pump, injector seals, filter housing, spill pipes, the list goes on, its the only car i have had that has given me an unbelievable amount of trouble, if i knew what i do now before i bought one then i simply would'nt have. Good luck and saying that mines for sale if your interested, fully colour coded sportive 16" standard wheels, with all the hard work done!

Didn't Matteeboy have one of these?

I'm sure he'll be along soon to tell you:

How much slower they are round Bruntingthorpe and the west curcuit (used by Evo), how crap the handling is and how many miles less to the gallon etc etc compared to his 'taxi-spec beemer'.
