Yep a guy who is one in Oldham and posts on here - cant remember his name now, just type in search for Scirocco and his name will pop up.

I believe the AA give good quotes on breakdown recovery

Forget VW dealers and go through a decent broker and save ££££s!

VW look kindly on customer's who purchase cars from them and have them maintained by them especially when your car goes out of warranty and you need assistance with the repair.

I work for a well known broker pm me the details of the VW ur mum is after and I shud be able to sort you a good deal, hopefully its not a Scirocco as the lead time is Febuary 2010

Sounds right. Bought my old Polo from an independent. Had a suspension issue took it to VW and got quoted £800 for repairs. Went to another independent and all done for £110.
Mate had similar story 4 years ago and the Dover branch lost its license because of it.
Sorry, but Id never go near a VW dealer.
