Just dont run it on empty, as my mate found out, they have a "fuel economy" mode when your nearly out of fuel, it literally cuts your power to 2k rpm a bit scary if your overtaking on the motorway!

It will bore the **** out of you.
Get a top spec Mondeo (STR diesel), decentish Audi A4 (170 bhp diesel), 330d, etc - or at the very least an older Volvo with the D5 unit.
Honestly you will soon hate that car.

I think it looks alright, ok, not the last word in excitement but I doubt it would cause anyone to hate it, it will do most things very well, I suspect it wont let you down, will do good mpg, be usefully brisk if not fast it looks respectable and its not one of those thrusty german type things.

i guess the opinions will be divided on a car forum lol
I am trying for my car ownership not to be a primary expense, but i actually think this car looks quite good.
i've never owned a diesel before - it pulls like a train!

Now that is nice - very nice.
Sure it's not a red hot racing machine but it'll do mega miles with no effort, sets a good "tone" (classy but not flash), should be quick enough and looks very nice to sit in.
I'd rathe have that than a knackered 10 year old Scooby...!

Good car for an Old man (60+) but dull otherwise with an engine which sounds much like an old taxi. Pulls like a train? slow then. they feel as though its gonna be quick but runs out of puff by 4K and only starts at 2K. Cramped in the back.
Mondeo Titanium X anyone
Buy a used FORD MONDEO Car - Auto Trader UK
Sorry not my cup of tea - too long in the tooth now due a new model soon. Will suit some people though but they can have their niggles like the one I know well which has left its driver stranded twice. His was a 1 year old one too with less than 3K on the clock for 12K from a Volvo dealer - didn't have sat nav or sunroof though.

16K - 1 year old Mondeo?
3 year old 320d SE with leather Auto Trader UK - BMW 3 SERIES 320D SE # FULL LEATHER # 4DR
2 year old A4 2.0TDi S-Line with leather
Auto Trader UK - AUDI A4 2.0 TDI TDV S LINE 4DR + FULL LEATHER + BOSE
2 year Old Lexus is220D
Auto Trader UK - Lexus IS 220D 2200 cc 2.2 SE
or a 4 year Old 530D m-sport -low miles - I'll take this one
Auto Trader UK - BMW 5 SERIES 530d M Sport 4dr Diesel Saloon
And each one will be woth more than the 15K Volvo in 3 years time. Like I said they suit some people but just don't float my boat yet. Volvo are slipping towards Saab territory, an also ran company.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions
I did 400 miles in it this weekend and it didn't miss a beat. After the 200 miles I did on sunday, I got out feeling quite relaxed with no aches or pains
and the dash doesn't look like cheap plastic. I've been in many BMWs whilst working at their head office and this dash isn't wildly different in terms of quality.
I am quite happy with my purchase

I would have one of these in the R versions. Meant to be the performance models, and the estate one is rather tastey.
His car looks good though, and I like it. Like girls, we 've all got different tastes and likes, so dont worry about it. :-)

I've driven a S40 estate (is that V40?) 2.0D to Frankfurt and back - great cruiser no aches and pains. Interior was a nice place to be

Truth be told, I was using the g/f's camera and screwed the exposures. The taxi turned up, so I only got about 3 wide angle shots
there's these as well
