How much are the evo 8 mr fq 340s from garages? And just how hard is that suspension compared to what we're all used to?

If I had that sort of money I would not be looking at a ford, go for the last of the old 5 series shape 530i m sport, not diesel as their turbos had issues.

My brother has a mint late champagne edition one, every single thing is electric and the leather on the seats is stunning, it's in metalic black and still looks like a class car.

I purchased a 525i m sport and it's very nice for crunching up the miles. don't waste your money on a ford when you could get a 52 plate 530i with all the toys, tv included.

They still command good money from garages such as extreme, but privately your looking at good ones from £14k ish give or take. The suspension is no where near as hard as the coilovers on my scoob

Yes Tony a 2.2 TDCI have you any experience of these??.Not a bad drive from what I gathered on my test drive,I know the dealer well so had it for 2 hours on my own plus he'll do me a good deal.
Had a test drive in a 320D M Sport at another dealer who I know as well,so had an hour in it on my own and wasnt overly impressed with the cabin and in general.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but are you paying out £10-15K or is that what you are prepared to agree to finance with a dealer? Also are you looking for a workhorse to do starship mileage and that must never miss a beat?
For 10-15k I would be looking for something that would cheer me up each time I drove it.
I haven't driven a ford and agree that they look OK but there has to be something more exciting if perhaps older for that money IMO

Just bought one.

Its a 1999 model so no tv or sat nav as standard but everything is electric and works. Even the headrests and thigh supports. Stereo gets louder the faster you go, when you put it in reverse, the mirrors adjust so you car see the kerbs. 12 speaker stereo. Just a quality car......and would run over my old JDM STi with better mpg belive it on not.

Really depends what you want the car for, motorway or just in general?

M5 is quite big for some of the roads I live near (A roads) compared to the Subaru. I could sway a bit on my side of the road in the STi from the white line to the edge of the road but the M5 virtually fills it so I find myself braking to corner. I've only had it a day so I might be able to adjust but theyre so easy to drive. 6th at 1000rpm and just drive......the torque is incredible.

No but they do get a good write up and the mondeo over all (even though its a ford ) is still pretty much top of the class.
Just thinking of who it was on here who bought one of these and loved it.

I currently have a STI and looking to change to something which is a little bit more comfy with pretty much the same budget as you (my bones are getting a bit too old now for the Tein suspension ).

I have started looking at the 330 BMW's. Im liking the 330 Ci M-Sport and also the 330 Cd M-Sport as there isn't much difference between the petrol & Diesel it would seem.

Haven't driven either yet so planning on hunting a few down for a test drive.

I have also considered Audi A3 (prefer the interior of the BMW) and a Focus ST but the 330 is quicker than the Audi and a nats ***** quicker than the ST plus the ST isn't so good on fuel.

Would love an e46 M3 but for the budget I think it would have to have 60-70k + on the clock which im not really after.
