Saxo noises?
Thought I'd see if anyone in here had any ideas on this. Drove a friends Saxo yesterday as my luverly 5 year old went and locked my keys in the car (last time he gets them!!) and had to come home to get the spare. Anyway, it's a 1.6 with 140K on the clock. Sorted the glazed brakes with some *appropriate* use of the brake pedal but there was a noise I'd been warned about. It was like a worn bearing noise when the clutch was depressed and also when you lifted off the throttle.
Now it's not my car and I have zero knowledge on Saxos so thought I'd start here for clues. Anyone any ideas?
Apart from that, and being a typical woman's car which means full of tat (!!) it was fairly nippy. Quite impressed.

Managed to stop by the Citroen garage. Mechanic said 'clutch release bearing'. Which is what I'd suspected from googling. But he also said 'don't ignore the noise or it'll break ...'. I've phoned the owner and passed on the message .......
