Thumbs up Had this for about 10 days now.....

Not everybody's cuppa, but I'm really enjoying it!!!

Got a few mods planned for it (bigger wheels, remap, tints & stereo)

Great cars. The best mk5 by far.

I looked at the R32 (had a mk4 a while back) but I just can't get on with it's looks - the GTi looks much better. And is a lot lighter.

Not quite as pokey as my Scoobs were, and certainly nowhere near the Audi, but what I do like is the go-kart handling (as can be seen by Wifey's gti6 in the background!!LOL!! )

Only problem with black? B@stard to keep clean!!

Very nice. I've liked ours more recently, it really is a good all rounder. I would consider carefully whether you really want the 18s though, they corrode (all ours have been replaced under warranty, some wheels twice), and the ride can be choppy.

Glad you're enjoying the car more John, I know you weren't exactly singing its praises earlier in the year!!LOL!!

Got to admit that the ride IS very good on the 17". I've seen all the whiteworm issues over on mk5golfgti and it is a bit of a put-off.

will look at new brakes instead - especially if I'm remapping
and maybe a miltek

Black 3dr - same as mine

Get it remapped it transforms the power delivery. As John (amazingly) said they are a good all rounder.

I've enjoyed mine and am at a loss what to replace it with in a few months time as, by all accounts, the MK6 is a backward step in terms of fun.

Pretty good actually - IF I drive like Miss Daisy, circa 38 mpg.
At worst, it's 27ish

Not bad really - the S4 rarely got into the mid 20s!!!LOL!!
