PPC in the Park
as posted on alfaowner.com
Please see below. This guy (Renrut on Nissan Primera Owners Club.) has all my sympathy and I think we as car enthusiasts should do our bit in registering our displeasure. I cut and pasted his entire thread as it really deserves exposure
"Posting this up because I wanted to make more people aware of it.
Practical Performance Car magazine are running a motorsports show called 'PPC in the Park' at Mallory Park this Saturday (23rd). Unfortunately their TV advert has been banned due to 'environmental reasons' so I'm posting up the linky to the youtube ad

and the thread on the PPC forum about it:
Practical Performance Car Magazine - PPC in the Park TV ad banned
I'm actually running my little Fiat on track there that day in the 999 challenge, so obviously I'm fairly keen that it's a popular day and that it'll happen again.
Its infuriating when something like F1 can get away with advertising on prime time tv on any channel they like while a small company can't and are blocked. Bloody double standards! The fact that the reason is that it 'promotes environmental damage' just makes it all the more annoying - what about the holiday/airline companies? Don't see them suffering the same fate! Angry
Hope to see some of you guys there!""
