Default Just started saving for an M6 - any owners?

I haven't driven one yet, but as we have decided to keep the current 530D forever, gonna start saving for probably an M6 (or 635D). Does anyone have one and can give me a bit of input?

It has to be the family car so ultimate balance/poise/race handling is not that important - no hooning around with my babies in the back (well OK just a safe little bit now and again cos they love it ).

I know mate - that is a lovely discount and was borne out having fantastic value out of my current 530. Might even go for a 7 if I want a total bargain

Thanks for the You tube link too. Now where's my soundcard when I need one?!

I'll service it myself mate - as I have already done so for 3 years on my 530. Doing the oil and filters again tomorr as it happens, and checking the diff oil.

It's my way forward to save a shedfull of money and get to drive a tidy 'much more loaded person than me' car.

Forget overpriced FSH critical 'oil changes' with this approach... I even changed the tranny fluid & filter on mine as it is a keeper [BMW say it is the same tranny oil for life]

Diesel: Im actually also saving to replace my E46 330d with a 730d Sport (facelift) they are a luxury bargain & great with family as huge inside & 4 door. I prefer the look of the 6 series but too cramped in back & only 2 doors. The only drawback with 7 series is they are pretty massive.

I think we are thinking along the same lines mate. These really are great cars but way out of my league new - someone must take the hit and grant the FSH before we gallantly step in, sucking air over the teeth .

Must save faster before the kids get to 5 foot tall in a few years and wont fit in a 6
