Default New Golf (Mk VI)

Got to order my new company car in December and the monthly lease rates have just been issued for the new Golf. I'm looking at the 2.0TDi GT (140) as the price is good for a one-year lease (they must be anticipating a good residual value) but there doesn't seem to be anything around (i.e. on the net) on the actual spec of the GT. I'm kind of thinking it's much like the spec of the current GT (and GT Sport) but is anyone else in the know??

Even my local dealer say he deosn't know and has no idea when the brochures will be out (1st batch of new ones due for January delivery apparantly).

Would have thought same or as close to the MKV, We've had no brochures either VW don't like to relaese info early, It's going to be just a face lift of the current model as the MKV was a brand New release from the MKIV.

Think there's a VW Salesman/Manager on here, IIRC his username is RJM25R or something along those lines... I'm sure that if there is any info on this then he'll be able to share it with you.

I've got a brochure and spec list. Mk6 is all new metalwork/interior based on mk5 chassis and a couple of new engines.

Mk 6 GT spec is LOWER than the outgoing GT-sport. No auto lights/wipers/auto dim mirror. No leather as standard, (alcantara and fabric instead) no tinted rear windows as standard. It does come with multi-function wheel and centre armrest as standard though, but won't have an individual front bumper.

Surprised you can get lease quotes ATM though because prices are due a rise on 1st November (1.5% across the board excl. Scirocco)

Let me know if you need any further info.

I'm going to the Mk6 launch early december.

Thanks for the response RJM25R.
According to the lease company (Leasedrive Velo), it does have tinted windows in the back, but confirmed no leather as standard.

Don't suppose you could share the brochure with me could you (via PM?)

Thanks again

You're a star, thank you

I did have a trawl through the VW site a few weeks ago but couldn't find anything - maybe I missed it.

Anyway, I'll have a proper look at the link today.

Cheers.

It now seems they were "estimates". The price they had for a years lease on the model I was looking at (2 litre GT 140) was £362 and I was happy at that.
It's now gone up to £711

When I questioned it with the leasing company, they said they were merely "estimates" and that the updated ones are correct. Turns out if I had pressed the button last week to order it, they would have honoured that price.

Feeling a bit deflated now as it's well out of my price league. It's circa £450 for 3 years, but I always like a short lease as I never know if I'm be at the company next year!!
