Brand new £10k diesel hatchback/supermini recommendations please..
Hi,
I'm looking to replace my 2004 Polo tdi with something similar, but new. Any recommendations around the £10k mark? I would get another Polo, but this model has been around for ages now.
I would like a new car as I do quite a high mileage (20k ish).

Not a lot of choice at £10k.
A little more opens up a much wider market.
Fabia would be my choice for long trips as it's comfortable and refined and the 1.9 has plenty of power/torque. My wifes on her third.
Something that's more fun?
What about the new Fiesta?
Supposed to be great to drive and all the 1.4 and 1.6 diesels average near 70mpg and £30 road tax. The ecoteknic does 76.3mpg average with free road tax.
If you have to stick to £10k what about picking up one of the last model Fiesta's. You'd get a full spec leather Zetec-S 1.6TDCi for that money.
The pics are from a petrol car but plenty of TDCi's for £9999 with delivery miles.
Used Ford Fiesta :: Matlock Ford

Thanks for the replies. I will start looking around soon. I want to find out when the new Polo is out, but can't find much information. My car has been very good.
I want to stick to the £10k budget. It's fairly cheap motoring. Cheap to run, not too much depreciation (it wasn't very expensive in the first place, so even a 50% drop in 3 years is OK), nothing goes wrong etc..
