The "Holy Grail" variants - your suggestions?
Following on from the Capri thread where somebody mentioned the Brooklands being the holy grail of the Capri world, i wondered what other examples we can think of?
Mini Cooper 970S
Ford Cortina Savage ?
Ford Escort Mk2 Mexico 1800 ?
Any more?

That's a stand-alone special model. I think the OP was asking about the most desirable special versions of a manufacturer's regular humdrum cars. Like a Lotus Carlton.

Yes, nearly, it sounded like Piranha but was "Perana", created by a bloke called Basil Green, think it was a Ford 302 ci Mustang engined dropped into a Capri, very sought after.
