Hi All

Am thinking about getting a new boot and bonnet for the Golf, due to paint fade and some rust....

Can anyone photoshop these two piccies to give it a black boot and black bonnet.

Dunno y u dont just get it resprayed the same colour, n mop the rest that's still faded Anyway,

do not really want to respray as it costs a lot and the car is worth about 75 quid.....

Yea i reckon it would look cack You never know a bodyshop might give it a quick blow over for a couple hundred, if ure really lucky.

But it is also the boot lid.... it has rusted a bit and will only get worse...... there are a lot more black boots and bonnets on second hand sites than red ones

Ok well boot by itself wouldnt be too bad i guess, bonnet would look wrong thou.

You'd be better to invest in a decent polisher and a number of aggressive to fine polishes and set about taking off a good layer of paint. I'd bet there is a half decent finish in there somewhere if you really work at it.

i reckon a smooth dark color golf and euro styleee is the best looking. wide as **** alloys with stretched tyres and slammed to the floor

If you have the bonnet and boot a different colour as per the pics, I would assume you had been involved in an accident and had bought new panels from a scrapyard.

painting a bonnet is horrible, every single blemish will come thru.

ok lads, the bonnet was the afterthought..... the main point is the boot... it is rusting under the window... it has been mended once by me and it is satrting to rust again...... but getting that red boot here is a pain in the *** with everyone wanting about 150 sheets for a car worth about 600
