Default Can the Daihatsu YRV Turbo be tuned?

Currently have a Daihatsu YRV 130 Turbo as a run-a-bout and unfortunately the modding bug that I have for the Subaru has now passed over to the Daihatsu. At the moment I already have a D-Sport front strutbrace, Blitz sus cone filter and soon to be put on some Tein lowering springs and a Blitz Nur-Spec R exhaust. But cannot fine any one who can re-map the ECU Anyone know any where in the Northwest of England that can? Already asked on the Daihatsu-Drivers website, but no-one seems to know....

A nice little Boost controller wouldn't go amiss

Check on Ebay, the Greddy ones are cheap as chips...

Cheers for the responses. But if I got something like that, How will I know without blowing up the engine how far I should push the boost?

Would get it set up by mapper or use a dyno to set it up. If you can measure the AFR's and knock via det cans then you will know exactly how much boost it can run and how safely.
With something like an AVC-R you can set it up precisely for gear controlled boost and RPM controlled Boost which i excellent. However it is slightly more dear i comparison to the Greddy.

scientifically.... OK, it's the beer speaking.....

Get the serial numbers and details of the turbo and other gubbins fitted as standard. That'll tell you maybe, how much boost/flow the turbo can handle.

Fit a boost gauge or if it's modern, can you get boosted air pressure and temp of the ECU? Scangauge or similar?

If the turbo and engine/drivetrain can manage it, Sportscat or decat and remap would appear to be the way to go.

I searched the tinterweb and came up with the following mods to improve your power:

Garrett GT28RS Turbo,
Greddy e-manage Chip
430cc injectors
porting the head
forged Pistons
Apparently that should get you about 220hp.

If you don't want to spend that much just get it remapped on the e-manage ECU, get an electronic boost controller and decat as suggested by others.
