Default Service Question

I bought an Octavia last year (Nov) from a Skoda dealership.

When I purchased the car a service was agreed as part of the deal.

8k Miles & 8 months later and I've just had a service indicator of 1000 miles on the dash.

Surely this is too early?

Does this mean the car wasn't serviced when I bought it or maybe they didn't reset the service interval?

Is there any way to check?

If they didn't service it as per the sales agreement, do I have any comeback?

Not sure on how to check - did they not stamp the service record with the date / mileage?

May be worth asking on BRISKODA - The Skoda Forums

could be on a variable service schedule, think if they use longlife oil then it goes onto a higher mileage rota, or as mentioned maybe they didn't reset the indicator?
