Cool 135i

Anyone here got one? If so pls tell me what it's like.

Saw one today when I was out on my m/bike. It was white & looked fantastic. There was a new shape M3 parked nearby too which also looked good

Had a drive in a 135i Coupe a couple of months back. Compared with my 350z they are a lot better and quick too.
This one was in black with red leather. I didn't go far in it but threw it around a few islands on the industrial estate where I work and it felt great.
I take it you meant the Coupe and not the ugly hatch?
I'd definately consider one after my zed if only the tax/fuel situation went away..
If that doesn't bother you then go for it!

I agree. It's just a shame they are so expensive. Had a look at the 123d with all the M-Sport goodies and a few nice interior bits (not leather) and it came to 30 grand. Good car, brilliant engine, but not enough to justify that kind of price. 20 grand buys an awful lot of car and I just couldn't see where the extra 10k went.

EVO said that the 135i would be a fantastic second hand buy and I think they're right. Leave it 18 months and you'll get one of the early ones for 20k.

Used 335i are already at least as low as £22k, much nicer looking car I think, not much heavier. I gather the brakes are no worse than the 135i either despite the 135i having six pot calipers.

I was wondering about all sorts of mid teens priced wafters - ej XJR, LS430, S8, E55, M5 (don't need anything that big, just attracted to the engines, quality etc). For little more a newer 335i seems like a "bargain" and with a chip would go about as well as any of the above.

Look up "Procede" and/or "Vishnu".

As I posted before, there was a suggestion the 335xi was coming to the UK, but if it does it will be a while before it has depreciated (like the 135i).

Dinan are also now doing a 400bhp mod with warranty, with an uprated oil and intercooler.

Does it apply to UK cars though? Can you get it through BIRDS or somewhere else?

I saw a smart 1 series the other day. It was white with some carbon fibre goodness around the back. It didn't look tatty like most modified cars - was it a special edition?

BMW are now offering bespoke motorsport mods for the 1 series, including carbon bumpers, spoilers, seats, trim and then light wheels, and I think but dont quote me on this - carbon brakes - uprated brakes of some form anyway.

Also I think they are doing sports exhuasts with sports cats etc.

I got a CD in the post the other day with it all on.

Tried the CD last night, looks good but my god the CD is slow to load up so it takes ages to add stuff to the car. White 135 with black carbon bits looks rather cool.

I know someone who has one and he is singing it's praises, he had a 'heavy' 330ci before this and say this knocks the spots off it. He feels the 135i is not far from an old M3 in terms of performance.

I've ordered a 123d coupe in black as a company car.

Anyone interested in the 400bhp dinan drop me a PM, the supplier has not gone public yet. I got offered the first one in the UK but I'm currently investing money in a load of urban art and being sensible for a change!!! The 335i is very well balanced with the AP brakes and LSD and standard power, for once I haven't really felt the need to uprate the power!!
