220 in that little thing! Its gonna go... my missus's S is standard and that feels nippy enough especially on the back roads!

I wouldn't mind an 'S' with a Works kit or similar, but I'm 6' 4 so not sure how well I'd fit..

I think that if you were able to get into a 106 GTI, you'd have no problem getting into a Mini. They're not so mini at the end of the day.

I used to have a Cooper which i fitted the S kit to (exhaust, fuel cap, bumpers, etc) - that was nippy
Like you i swapped the runflats for proper tyres which made a lot of difference to the ride and handling

I have a stereo conversion kit if you're thinking of swapping the head unit (iso adapter, surround)

Sold it because I was fed up looking like a tart

Fuel economy not that bad, certainly better than any of the 6 different scoobs I have owned

Actually a great fun little car, the pops and bangs from the JCW exhaust always made me chuckle but to be honest, I've never really been into the whole Mini thing and image, my Dad was offered next to nothing as a part ex for it because the miles were a little high and as it was such a mint car I decided to buy it. I ran it for just over 6 months and sold it for what I paid for it.....

Pick up one of these in white next week

Yes I was a bit like you but it was damn cheap, and having modded it huge fun with sensible running cost.

Your new one looks good, had a Clio Trophy but it was far to hard for our terrible roads, crashing from pot hole to pot hole , not fun, the Mini is much better now minus the dreaded runflats.

we must catch up soon!!??
