pug 207gti anyone got one ?????
as title guys
Test drove a pug 207gti last week, thinking of investing in one for the missus,or even me TBH
Does anyone on here own one ?????
any issues to look out for ?????
what's your general view of the car after owning long term/short term ????
Not going to buy new,as i have come accross a few ex-demo's with very little mileage for 4-5 grand off the new price
cheers marcus

Peugeot lost it after the 306 GTI-6 and the 106 GTI.
Went to trade in my then 106 GTI for a 206 GTI years ago. After the test drive I gave the keys back......... never to return.
If it's a fun hatchback you're after, you'd be better off with either:
Mini Cooper S
Clio 197
Corsa VXR
Fiesta ST

Yep, from producing amazing fun little cars - 106,205,306 - Peugeot have ever since lost the plot in a big way. A lesson in how to totally **** things up...

Supposedly a pretty good car, evo gave it a good write up against the corsa vxr but its a little "softer" than the old school pugs, but better than the 206 gti 180, punchy 1.6 ltr engine with a shed load of torque from its twin scroll turbo engine, but your best getting down and having a test drive to see what you think of it really or you can wait and see what the 308 brings

yep same engine buddy
has something called overboost which gives an extra 15-20 bhp in the lower 3 gear's for a limited time
Also the salesman told us that if the actuator is ajusted,an extra 20 bhp can be gained with no hassle
it seemed a good little motor with plenty of get up and go,obviously no sti,but at near on half the money of a brand new sti,it aint gonna be
On my short test drive,it was more then willing to be thrown into the corners, level of grip was superb on the bridgestone tyres, the interior was spot on,and unlike the previous 206 gti 180,it went rather the sitting and spinning its wheels
The missus has a 1.4 16v model,and as a "car" its great,very smooth,very well built etc
I think another test drive is in order, its the old getting my head around not having 300bhp on tap with AWD too boot
but hey its a turbo,so i can have a D/V
