Girl at work has just been quoted £600 to change her rear brake pads
This can't be right - so i have offered to do it. I'm assuming its straight forward.....?

Kwik-fit quoted about £250 - but i wouldn't trust them to change a light bulb. Still seems excessive in price.
I think i can get the pads for about £20. I'm assuming it will be straight forward - open the caliper, wind the piston back and put on the new ones - half an hour tops

Z3s have a reputation of being horrendously expensive to service, IIRC the cambelt is a fortune.

I was quoted £450 by BMW to do front discs and pads and rear pads on my Z4. Bought all the bits for a fraction over £100 and did it myself in a couple of hours taking my time!!

How much ?, I changed the g'friends rear discs and pads (2.8 Z3)for £100 that was using EBC green stuff pads as well.
Easy job took about 40 mins. They do use allen key bolts though,so check size required.
