If you are looking for ultimate track weapon, something as heavy as an E46 might not be the ideal choice.
I saw a [ca automotive] charged and turbo'd E46 at the 2005 tuner GP event. Both road cars, not sure whether they were pressing on 100%, but the results are below:

Simpson motorsport seem to have the most experience in supercharging. They are a proper professional outfit. I was tempted to supercharge mine but as its a convertible decided not to
