My "spare" car is a '99 Fiat Punto Sporting. It has recently developed a very annoying tinny sounding rattle, which only occurs between 2800-3000 RPM. It sounds like it's coming from towards the front of the car (so not exhaust heat shield) - anyone have any idea what it might be, or how I might be able to work out what's causing it?

There is an oil feed pipe that feeds the camshafts and valve gear it's a bit like a bar with squirters, it's under the cam cover this can get blocked from time to time i'd try an oil change with engine flush and and some oil fortifier before stripping anything down.
