i think they have changed something in the mapping and the air flow. im not sure if this applies to cupras, but the pre 2003 had a black and grey plastic mix on the door cars, where as the 2003 onwards had a full black colouring which looks alot better.

Cool

Cracking motors, I ran one for 2.5 years and would have another without hesitation.

I'm a bit confused about the brand new line up of Leons. Is the new Leon Cupra like the old Cupra R ? because I see no mention of Cupra R in the new line up and the Cupra appears to have 240 bhp ? Is that right ?

There is no 'R' but that is only because Honda (I think) were going to take Seat to court over the 'R'........

Yes 240bhp same engine and turbo as the Audi S3 (new model), can chip these to 305bhp???? Thats quick for front drive.

Ahhh thanks for clearing that up!! A neighbour of mine has been driving an 08 Cupra and I have to say I quite like the look of them!

What does the top end diesel handle like ? Anyone used one on a day to day basis ?

FR REPLACED the Cupra series

I *meant * in the sense of the post that hinted that Honda were being snitty about the 'R' towards Seat, why did Seat drop the Cupra R just to replace it with an f R ???

* you really need to have a proper look around and read some of the stuff over on that new forum you use now..

That's daft when Subaru used the full "Type R" text on some classic Imprezas. I guess Honda had a go at Subaru at the time

I think BMW got arsy with Mercedes for having an "M" Class too.

I've noticed some of the new Seats have really nice body kits with big slotted vents in the front and rear bumbers. Are they standard on the FR?
