Question Those Hyundia Coupes look rather good ..

5 Years warranty

Fantastic equipment

Amazing prices secondhand

Apart from badge snobbery, what's wrong with them?

The Local Garage has one in with 3,500miles on, 06 plate, 2.0SE - £11,000.

That's a lot of car for the money.

agreed, had a few in for cleaning and the interior trim is always loose and rattly, apart from that they seam ok (also the wheels have crap paint/always bubbled and blistered)

2.7 litre V6 with only 147BHP. I think that's the power output. Pretty poor for such a large engine.

my mate has a 2.0 coupe, i drove it the other week. looks nice, interior is nice while it lasts. engine.. gutless. gear ratios are just too short. you have to change gear before you have even felt any torque, exhaust note is too quiet and boring. the gearbox itself felt ok, it was nice and short. all in all, nice comfortable car while it lasts, but then again it will bore you before it starts to get rattly inside

The US rear wheel drive may well be coming to the UK.
A 210 hp turbo or 306 hp 3.8 litre engines are on the cards.

I've always thought the shape was almost there, but has always been spoilt by some odd small design detail.

Goood ews about the rwd version, agreeabout them being almost there.

For the price i think the trim quality is just fine, mechanically they are built to last.

they used to be poor cars but i think hyundai are starting to turn the tables because their new cars are good. no mistake, hyundai coupe 140bhp, decent build quality and also that 5yr warranty.. cant fault. maybe il go get one in afew years time

because hyundai sales are going up after-market parts are becoming more readily available.. still may have a hard time finding them but companies are starting to "mod" them (if thats your thing).
