MX-5 Mk2.5 CD Advice
Replaced the battery recently and managed to **** up the code (she did but it's my fault). The "ERR" code was displaying in the LCD Display and the aerial is powered up permanently. This demands atrip to the Mazda Stealer for a reset according to the User Manuel
So I have decided to upgrade the CD player, single DIN, Adaptor leads and little cubby underneath. However, the new CD Player won't work, the Alarm and C/L don't work and the CEL is on
Is the old stereo connect to some Anti Theft system and only Mazda Stealer can correct it or is there a simple solution?

This happened to me last year with my MX-5, In the end I bought a double din unit for the car, as the dealers were going to charge me for getting it unlocked.
I have to say that I did not encounter any problems with the alarm afterwards. Make sure that you have conected all the wires or that you have not pulled any out that you should not have.
