Startlet Turbo, suitable for first time car?
Hi mate just bought one of these and said it was great fun to drive. just about to start learning to drive and was wondering would one of these cars be suitable for a new driver?

I would imagine your insurance would be pretty hefty on one of these. Personally I would buy something like a fiesta for the first year while you learn and pass your test. When that's done and insurance stops being stupid you can start looking at more interesting stuff. Just my two pennith worth.

I would be inclined to agree with above. Not cos I want to be "patronising and older than you" but cos most of my best motoring memories involve ragging the likes of old underpowered minis, metros, novas, renault 5s etc at slow speeds

Plus theres no point in spending loads on your first car cos you WILL crash it, in my case more than once!!!!

If you want one try bell they insure them reasonably not too quick untill modified. Not bad for a learner not exactly expensive either.
