Audi A3 1.9tdi Sportback
Anyone driven one of these, been thinking of leasing one due to the ever spiraling costs of fuel. I would get the 2.0 tdi but i have a budget and want to stick to it.
Is the 105ps 1.9 totally gutless?
Thanks chaps!

My new 1.9 TDI Sportback Sport arrives at the beginning of next month, as my new company car. The main reason for getting it over the 2.0 TDI was the monthly lease rate through the Company - despite being only a couple of grand difference on list price, the 1.9 is £120 a month cheaper (with obviously a cheaper P11D value). True, it's only 105ps but I can put up with it for a year. It's still quick enough for the M25 on a daily basis and I ferry the family around in a Qashqai at weekends. Think of all the money I'll save in fuel!!!
I got it over a year as according to my local Audi dealer, the A3 is due a revamp at the beginning of 2009 so I wanted to order a new one of those as soon as I can. It will have new lights front and back (see the A3 cabriolet pictures for details). As it was only a year's lease, I didn't bother with metallic paint and chose the solid black with only a few extras.
The basic version gets you into the 13% P11D bracket as it's only 119 in CO2's. The Sport comes out as 18% which is acceptable.

I've driven one with work, power is acceptable I'd say but nothing special, A 115bhp TDCi focus seems a lot faster. Build quality nice, boot not as big as expected...
The only thing that really disagreed with me were the seats, they were extremely uncomfortable and for 3+ hours hell. I wasn't the only person who commented on this, this was an SE with comfort pack I reckon.
