Alternatively, go to Newera Imports and get the same car for £52k. Newera at least know their cars and that the new GT-R isn't a Skyline at all.

Lee, you do know this is a serious rival for the Porsche 997 Turbo, don't you? Even at £60k it's a bargain considering the performance you get.

Didn't they manage a 3.4s 0-60 using the hidden launch mode?

Wasn't to sure on it after only seeing photos as i have always admired the Skyline range, but had a close look at the new GT-R when in Japan end of last year. After seeing in the flesh have to admit it is one beautiful car and it looked/sounded awesome going around the track.

Be interesting to see if these cars can be registered on UK soil. I know the speed limiter will still be in place, the sat nav system in Japanese and Nissan UK own the model report and will point blank refuse anyone who wants to rent it. Its an effort to stop these grey imports and protect the brand. The GTR requires specific tools for service and the respective Nissan dealers need to send a garage team to Japan for training on how to carry out repairs and services on the GTR. I have a deposit down on the Spec V with Middlehurst and Andy there said Nissan will not sell parts, replacements or indeed have any affiliation with any Grey imported GTR, with that in mind i wouldn't dare part with £60k of my hard earned with no form of dealer link or servicing offered.
