Default Focus - pushchair in boot?

Hi all

I'm considering a 98-05 Ford Focus 5door and was wondering if you can fit a decent sized pushair (travel system) in the boot because all the pictures i've seen seem to show that the focus doesn't have a large boot capacity.

Regards

Mark

my sister recently changed her car and had to take the pushchair to test boot size to garages, the focus boot just about managed to accomodate it although a tight squeeze.
the pushchair is one of them big modern things with the removable car chair in it by the way.
anyway she ended up with a new shape renault megane as the boot is a bit bigger so other baby stuff can be put in aswell as the pushchair

We've got a new born and the wife used to have a puma, we bought the loola travel system pram from mothercare as it was the only one that fitted into the puma. When the baby came the wife suffered to much with her back getting in an out the car, we sold the puma and got a focus. The pram with the carry cot fits into the boot no problem and the chassis is actually seperate and slides along side the carrycot section. The focus has been a god send and IS the best car inn its class. Get one you wont be dissapointed

My brother had Focus. The pushchair went in, however nothing much else. So you'll find it difficult if you have to go for a weekend break etc.

Although you may get the pushchair in, as others have said you'll struggle if you're going away for a few days. We used to have a Saab 9000 hatch, and that was filled to the brim when we went away for a few days, and that was leaving the pram behind and taking a buggy!

Personally, I'd go for a bigger hatch/estate - don't think similar aged Mondeo's / Vectra's will be much more expensive than the Focus's.

My wife has a Volvo V70 and the pushchair takes up a shocking amount of space even in that!
