German car news
BMW looking to buy volvo
BMW talking to MB for increased co-operation to benefit both parties.
Porsche in talks with VAG and BMW to take over Daimler AG.
We could see one big german super manufacturer, however with each company staying independant overall. Their reasoning behind this is that each of them are high tech and powerful, yet neither number 1 ie they want toyotas throat.

Well LOTR/AL BANNED/NOT BANNED, this must be disastrous news for you. Surely there's only 1 "super manufacturer" in your eyes lol.

Oh god geesta, you've lit LOTR/AL's fuse saying that. Just you wait for his cut'n'paste posts in an attempt to correct your blasphemous statment against the holly quad rings lol

Yeah your right, why would Porsche want to do that with an inferior brand...other than to save their own ***** from a similar bid. However it does leave Porsche with the option to freely acquire further shares of upto 50% of VAG if they so wish before they are by German law have to make a take over.
A shrewd move by Porsche and allows Porsche to have a greater influence on the VW board and stealthly build up its stake in VW without paying over the odds for additional shares and without having to disclose the exact size of its shareholding.
