DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WILL BE BUYING A HOUSE IN THE NEAR FUTURE I NEED TO PART COMPANY WITH MY ESCORT COSSIE. ITS BEING REPLACED WITH A 1995 V6 MONDEO. THE CAR HAS DONE 48K AND IS IN TOP CONDITION. IM AFTER ALL THE ADVICE I CAN GET ON HOW TO UP THE PERFORMANCE AND DRIVABILITY - I KNOW IT WILL NEVER BE A COSSIE.
ANY COMMENTS WELCOME.
P.S. ANYONE WANT TO BUY A MINT ESCORT COSSIE??????????

Apart from a superchip (approx £250) an exhaust (£200-300) and replacement filter (£45-95) your pretty much limited for getting more power (unless you use Nitrous).
I sold my 4x4 Cossy a little while ago and bought a '98 V6 Mondeo. The power was half of what I'd been used to but once I sussed out the gearing (It also took a while to get use to the revs dropping down slowly as well) its not too bad for a daily smoker. The added bonus is that you can leave it almost anywhere instead of wrapping it in cotton wool and Rottweillers in the seat The Insurance is halfed and I can now get mpg into the 30's unlike 15-23mpg...

There is a site for Mondeo's but I think its down at the moment due to a refurb http://www.fordmondeo.org/

Hope this helps?....
