Astra 1.8sxi
Has anyone had/ driven a 1.8sxi astra (new version)?
I've seen 1 for sale with the exterior pack (18"s, spoilers) and think it looks quite nice but it's quite a distance away so was hoping for some reviews before i get too excited about it
the 325 compact i bought 4 weeks ago is a bit thirsty for my liking so i'm not sure if i'm wanting to keep if for much longer

i had one as a hire car for 2 days the 1.7cdti version it drove really well and is a vast improvement on astra's of old can't comment specifically on the 1.8 version though.
only thing i would say is they tend to depreciate fast as with all vauxhall

The 1 i've seen is 3 years old and with low mileage - it's at a very good price for the spec so the price shouldn't drop much more in the near future.
It's weird the 1.8 is just over 120bhp? and 0-60 is 10.6secs which sounds slow but the exterior looks and mpg should help to overcome this - maybe?
just wanting to know of any common problems, reliability issues, long term drivers views
cheers
