Not the best colour in the pics, but looks good enough.

It'll probably have a stupidly hard ride though. Have to wait and see.

I like it.

Better than some of BM's recent "styling issues".

Looks bland to me in the pictures(hopefully better in the flesh),and it also needs to be a much better all round car than the E46 M3.....................i.e a Proper M car and not just a quicker 3 Series,as the 335i already ticks that box.

Isn't a 'proper M car' the exact opposite of an allrounder?

50k starting price is a bit steep and its getting a bit lardy. Why not an M1 series?

Not for me, looks to long and stretched.

After me 2 scoobies and 2 M3's I dont know what to go for next.
Maybe it will look better in the flesh.

Glad they have gone for a V8 the inline 6 mill has really reached the end of it's development curve. I was driving my Mum's E46 m3 today an great handling car but the thing has no torque at all it couldn't pull the dick of a chocolate mouse below 4500 revs. If the new car has handling anything like the E46 M3 and added torque of a V8 i think it will raise the bar higher then any previous M Car.

I was commenting on the lack of torque low down in the rev range it all happens above 4500 revs for me (but christ then does it go !!)That's fine on a race car or when you a really looking to push on and drive the E46 M3 very hard. I don't think the engine is well suited to day to day driving was all i was saying In my opinion you can't ride the torque and short shift like you can in something like an E34 or E39 M5 which makes effortless cruising in 3rd 4th gear down a road that you don't know for eg.

Anybody agree or am i talking rollocks ?

I'm on my second M3 CS and I agree that you do have to adapt your driving style to get the best performance out of the engine.
If you have come from a turbocharged car either petrol or diesel the low down power does seem lacking, but once used to the response I find it easy to make good progress.
If you want more power just drop a cog and floor it.

Yes I'd definitely sacrifice a bit of top end power for more torque low down.

I was not impressed by it. Oh well, I hope it will look better when I see it in person.
