KTM-X-BOW has the Atom met its match???
Now this is something else, as much as i like the Atom i think this baby is fantastic - although a lot heavier than the Atom it will offer superior downforce and i woudl imagine better handling and grip at high speed, even if the Atom destroys it on acceleration.
Uses the Turbo 2.0 unit out of the Audi so would imagine that 300bhp+ is easily attainable.
Accordjing to EVO will retail at 27k

I like the X-bow, quality looks realy good, and a few nice toughes of carbon...
Looks a bit high in some pics but looks good... If i ever get some wings i may be ble to get some downforce, as it is the Atom simply relise on mechanical grip... Having no downforce and a lot of ower makes a handlfull sometimes... Also Andy's right with the turbo vs SC bit, the Atom would be unusable as a turbo IMO, its difficult enough with the charger "its making 400ftlb per tonne at 2500rpm" i.e any gear will do but at least the power is as any says linear, and more importantly controled by your right foot and not a surge of boost....

Not more powerfull, and not a real road car... i looked into getting one and they're pretty much unusable on the road, also require engine rebuilds and such... fast car on a track, but its a track car simple as...

Much as I love KTM bikes, I'd take the Atom over one of these. That bodywork isn't going to last a day on British backroads. I'd fit some sort of bubble screen to the Atom though!

All the cars that you are on about are heavy cars, all these cars do have lag but will be more noticable in a light car with supercharging you dont get any lag so you can be in the wrong gear and no spitting you off when the power comes in.

Dimensions look very close to the Atom. So is it 'just' an Atom dressed up with 200 kilos of plastic & carbon?
I dare say if the demand was there from Atom owners then something akin to an all-weather body could be on the cards. Interesting prospect.

It's not that spitting off that's the problem with modern turbo engines and tyres, it's adjusting the balance of the car on the throttle midcorner and powering out of them
