Default new cars! sensible tax band!

right so what new cars are out there that are nice motors but dont carry the stoopid tax bands!
a new car costs thousands and so you may want to say blah blah its only 400 quid! truth is i wouldnt give 400 pound to any cause with out a grumble weather i can afford it or not!
so what cars are out that are fun, fast and sensible to tax and insure!
not that im selling up but i would of liked a hatchback sti!!! and thats gone straight out the sodding window

Any new grey import that's not got European type approval e.g an Evo 9 GT. VED is not rated by emissions and is a standard cost of about £190.

Worth checking my facts - it's late!

New 3dr 120D BMW

£20k, 177 bhp, 258 lbs/ft, 7 and a bit to 60, stunning mid range, 142 mph top end, 40 mpg average, great handling, great to drive and a Co2 rating of 129 = £115 a year to tax.

Ruddy, there's plenty of cars to choose from that are band F and below, just compare the car with this table and you can't go wrong. The cost of vehicle tax for cars, motorcycles, light goods vehicles and trade licences : Directgov - Motoring

Rob,

The 2007 model year car has a CO2 rating of 129. Unless you mean the auto, which is 145.
