I feel silly for having a base model diesel golf to commute in.

A nice reliable lexus for under £2k with LPG conversion, is this a no brainer or are there hidden pit falls!??!

Are the figures quoted by you of 240Bhp and 155mph petrol or LPG?
If they are petrol figures then the LPG figures will be nothing like that.
If it is a dual fuel conversion you will be forever switching it back to petrol

LPG isn't meant to be any different to petrol apparently.
Might be an idea to contact places that offer LPG conversions to see what the pros and cons are.

you dont know what youre talking about mate! LPG converted cars will defo give more mpg on gas then petrol! I own a LPG converted car and it gives me roughly 450 miles to a full tank of gas (£30 @ 37.9p per litre)

It's a fact that cars do less 'miles per gallon' when running on LPG than petrol. You are incorrect.

If you do the maths that is 21.7 miles per gallon on LPG
£30.00 / 0.379 = 79 litres
79 litres = 20.7 gallon
20.7 / 450 miles per tank = 21.7 to the gallon
It works out cheaper cos it costs less not cos it dous more per gallon....

my workm8 converted his beemer 323i to lpg and says it saves him a fortune on fuel due to the cost of lpg so he then tells me its like 60 mpg if you bring the cost up to the same as petrol from the pump.
he also says that its slightly slower on the lpg but there now working on diesel cars using lpg and it makes them faster as hes been out in a demo car think it was a rangerover.
anyhoo hes into big luxury cars and hes since fitted the kit onto a 5 series now still a 523i.
