325Ti

325Ti
I'm looking at changing my 206gti-180 for something with a bit more torque and have 99% decided on a 325ti.
I've had a 2001 325Ci in the past which as far as i can remember was a good car (can't remember why i got rid?) so sort of know what to expect drive wise - is there much difference between the coupe and a hatch (noise, drive, etc)
Has anyone had a 325 with 60k miles and has it been problem free (i just replaced the battery on the last 1), is there anything to look out for?
I was looking at another bugeye but want something i can leave in a car park/ on street without worrying about it going missing or spioler, etc being nicked
i've seen a 325ti, black, M3 extras, 18"s, 65k for £8500 - is that a good price private?

i quite like the 325ti, looks good with 18s. you got any pics?
is it as quick as your old 2056gti? not sure on the power of the 325 but will have a load more torque than the 206.

not got any good pics but will have this weekend (if i get chance to polish it).
It has 18" MV alloys, rear lip spoiler and is topaz blue which suits the car (cream leather interior).
The 206 is 180bhp but has to revved to get it moving (no torque), the BMW has 192bhp but has lots of torque so can sit in 5th gear all day
The reason for getting rid of the pug is reliability. I bought it in december with 19k and even though it has now done 20500 i'm having too many problems.
front suspension rattling - common problem being droplinks but dealer says it's because it's a sports hatch?
oil leak - dealer couldn't find it although i have patches on the garage floor and oil all over the sump?
every warning light came on last week (even when i was stood outside the car, doors locked and key in hand), all gauges (speedo, rev counter, temp and fuel gauges) stopped working - dealer said it could be a bsi unit fault but couldn't replace it until it's logged by their computer (he was sat in car with all lights showing?)
got car back from garage to find it pulling seriously to right (did they sabotage it) and to be told the front discs were corroded
after 3 months i decided i wasn't willing to spend time/ money on it so i hope the bmw is a good decision
