Default Mercedes E Class

Does anyone have a new shape Merc E class. I'm looking to buy a 320CDI or the CLS with the same engine and wondered what they were like to live with?

I used to have one last year at some point. Thought it was just a gentle cruiser & could pull when it wanted to.

I had the avantgarde sport. 18's, sports suspension. Car just glided along to be honest.

Good cars & well worth a look at.

They glide, and eat miles as if it were cm's. Best cruising machine Ive ever had.

It'll be on an 07 plate so it will be the 3.0. I see it's used in different states of tune in both the 320 and the 280 CDI's.

What i do know is that the 320 cdi bloody shift. i used to have an Audi 2.8 Quattro and one of these was sat on my rear at *** mph eventually my bottle and desire to keep ones licence took over and i pulled over and it shot past - i was amazed when i saw the CDi badge on the back.

i swear these must be good for 150 surely?

seriously impressed

i drive a c320 cdi, this is a FAST CAR, pulls and pulls and pulls, same engine as e320. 376 torques (as JC) says, same as c55 AMG all with an auto box and in virtual silence.

awesome car.

Not driven one but i understand there are some very good deals to be had on them as they're simply not selling.

I understand from the dealer there is a Brabus tuning kit for the 3.0 engine. It seems to work in a similar way to the Prodrive performance pack for the Impreza and Forester and costs about £1500. Oh so tempting...
