Was booked in to test drive the 300c on Saturday, quite looking forward to it.
However got a call on Saturday morning from the salesman.
"Sorry, but we have sold the demostrator that you were due to drive. We have no more cars available to test drive and no more due in until mid March"
"So how are you expecting to sell cars if people cannot test drive them"
"eeerrrrmmmmm, would you like me to phone you when we have one available"
"Don't bother, I'll go else where"
Is it just me or is this sales suicide, how on earth do they expect to sell cars. Chrysler are in the middle of a tv campaign now, surely a number of sales/leads would be generated form this. Yet this dealer deide to sell his only demonstrator......................strange.
AudiLover, please explain how you know a 300c drives like a Thames barge floats on water?
Also please explain why you think a visit to a Chrysler dealership in search of a new car is funny.
1. They handle like a obese swine.
2. Its an american car company. We all know yanks cant make cars that are competent in a wide range of categories, instead of being mediocre at one, and poo at all the others. (the 300c is comfortable and thats the only thing its got going for it, oh and the price.)

AudiLover, please expand on your verdict of the 300c's handling characteristics - having never ridden an obese swine I am unfamilar with the way they handle. Do you ride obese swine often?
Also, how do you know that the only redeeming features of the 300c are it's price and comfort? Have you extensively road tested one?

I see. The E-Class is a very nice car. Did people laugh at you when you went to the Chrysler dealership to carry out your extensive test drive. You did go for a test drive, didn't you?
I did. I find the 300c to look very nice on the outside. Reminds me so much of a bentley which was the attraction. Disapointing drive though.
I see. Thank you. So the 300c is a good value, comfortable car that is disappointing to drive. Please elaborate on your statement that in every other area it was "poo".

I saw one parked up at night with dinky blue downlighters under the sills...
I think he was checking on his working girls or maybe awaiting a delivery of finest Columbian.
No........the 300c looks a lot better, and doesnt have incontinence seat option for its very very elderly owners..
The current e-class craps all over the 300c in every department.
The old e-class, on which the 300c gets its chassis from is also inferior in everyway. The yanks somehow managed to **** the chassis up giving the 300c a abysmal ride and handling.
