Smile Got my new toy!! CRX Vtec

Found it last night.....

1.6 Vtec

The car seems ok, suffers from the normally problems. Little bit of rust on the rear arches, but not too bad. Needs a new alternator, but seems to run well.

Inside needs some work...

not too bad for £900

Plan to get it on the road ready for some track days at the end of March and then ready for Ring in June.

A friend had 2 of those [after he wrote the first one off] - he replaced it with a JDM DC2 which he wasn't convinced was any quicker than the VTI! He wrote the DC2 off too!

Yes I use to have a 1.6 16v... which I recently bought back to make into a track car.

The car already has an induction kit and manifold back stainless exhaust, along with VTEC leather seats.

I'm currently fixing a dodgy bonnet release cable and broken rocker cover stud.

I've replaced a rusty sunroof panel for a carbon item, the back seat is out and the interior will be stripped this weekend.

I'm keeping the front speakers and stereo as those long trips might become dedious!!

Replacing seam sealer and siliconing the lights to make things water tight.

I have a set of Rage bucket seats to go in, and I'm currently sourcing harnesses and strut braces.

I've decided to leave the brakes and suspension until I've done a few trackdays to decide whether I want to do it on a budget or get some more expensive kit!

So far less than £900 to buy the car back, make it water tight, running right, fluid and filter change and prepare for minor trackday modifications.

I'm hoping to have it already for March... and I also plan to go to the 'Ring sometime later on in the year!

What sort of seats are you after? If you want leather VTEC seats, then I'm about to remove mine.

My reclining buckets cost me £100, but I need to fabricate them to fit.

I've seen fibreglass buckets for £230 new! Redirect
