How pretty is this car? I think its blooming loverly.

What are these like on running costs then?

I used to own a 1986 D reg example. They are fantastic cars - and not that expensive to run. I had one at 23y/o and with a clean driving history I paid £1000 fully comp - the LHD bit is not a worry either, although you will **** it a few times before your realise the extent of your blind spot

They are not that quick compared to some modern car's but with a n/a 4pot screaming away you can keep it on the boil and point to point it is like nothing else.

There is one thing to note, the cam chain needs replacing at 100k miles which costs plenty. That car has done almost 92k. You should knock some money off for this when bidding. I would pay £6-£7k for that car.

Check for accident damage and rust. check under the car at the driver / passenger foot-well for damage or rot, and the seams on the inner wings tend to go. Around the fuel cap is another prone spot.

I think that is the most part [after a few beers anyway ]
